Job Title: Practical Nurse

Join the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration team as a Practical Nurse in the Ambulatory Care department. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide clinical and medical support to providers, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and support to a culturally diverse veteran population
  • Perform practical nursing measures with precision and efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with RNs and MDs/DOs to provide comprehensive care
  • Assist with emergency situations, including CPR and choking emergencies
  • Administer medications accurately and promptly
  • Document patient care and observations
  • Participate in patient education and support
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing
  • Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or District of Columbia
  • English Language Proficiency
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a variable schedule and rotating shifts. The selected candidate will be required to serve a probationary period and undergo a background/security investigation.

Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
