Ultrasound Technologist

As a Diagnostic Sonographer at Kaiser Permanente, you will perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Your expertise will be essential in scheduling and coordinating tests, recording test results, and maintaining operational logs.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations to produce accurate images and data.
- Document patient assessment and history, ensuring accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work.
- Provide patient education and support, promoting a positive patient experience.
- Operate computer and ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images and documentation.
- Practice quality control measures to ensure optimal images and patient care.
- Enter and complete patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Prepare films for interpretation by radiologists in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
- Follow department procedures, policies, and regulations to ensure patient safety and quality care.
- Minimum one year of experience in ultrasonography, with a minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved ultrasonography program.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum two years of experience in ultrasonography.
- Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment.
