Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. They will also schedule and coordinate tests, record test results, and prepare and maintain operational logs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Ultrasound Examinations
  • Document patient assessment and history
  • Provide patient education
  • Operate computer and ultrasound equipment for image production and documentation
  • Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity
  • Perform quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal images
  • Enter and properly complete all patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Prepare films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately
  • Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking
  • Actively engage other health care providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care
  • Follow department procedures, processes, and policies
  • Practice safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations
  • Follow universal precautions, infection control guidelines, and sterile technique
  • Comply with all governing regulations
  • Stock and clean exam rooms/work areas
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in Ultrasonography (will only accept new graduates from KPGA affiliated ultrasound program educational institutions)
  • Education: Graduate of AMA approved Ultrasonography Program
  • License, Certification, Registration: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate
  • Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in Ultrasonography preferred
  • Customer service aptitude demonstrated through Customer Service Assessment
