Job Description

Align is seeking an experienced Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team and help manage our high-performance compute (HPC) private cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure operations and experience working in a large infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for high-performance compute infrastructure initiatives, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compute engineers, architects, and cloud operations to design and implement robust HPC solutions.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of projects involving cloud-based and on-premises compute infrastructure, including scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle while managing dependencies and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, key milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring visibility across the organization.
  • Support post-implementation reviews, ensuring continuous improvement for future projects.
  • Ensure projects align with long-term business strategies and the company's technical roadmap.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data center operations or project management, specifically in cloud infrastructure or datacenter environments.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in managing cloud-native infrastructure projects (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform) from a management perspective.
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements and project statuses effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring that project objectives are clear and met on time.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to manage project challenges and guide teams to successful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with HPC or large-scale computing systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • The ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide strategic guidance to engineering teams.
