Job Description

Harsco Environmental is a leading provider of material processing and environmental services to the global steel and metals industries.

We are seeking a skilled Railcar Product Security Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing finished product to a railcar for shipping offsite.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

The work environment will be indoors 10% and outdoors 90%.

The physical demands of the job include reaching, squatting, bending, and carrying objects.

The successful candidate will also be required to lift and carry supplies of various dimensions and weights.

Additionally, the candidate will need to be able to climb onto rail cars approximately 3 ft. high on uneven terrain.

The ideal candidate will also have the ability to push and pull different sizes and dimensions of materials.

They will also need to be able to use touch and impact wrenches.

Furthermore, the candidate will need to be able to swing an 8 lb. sledge hammer.

The successful candidate will also be required to wear personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots with metatarsal protection, hearing protection, protective glasses, a harness, a lockout lock with a lockout board, and a hard hat when performing work outside of the office.

The work schedule will be 12-hour rotating shifts, with overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school degree or equivalent, and be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a high school level.

They will also need to have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently, and have people leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.

Additionally, the candidate will need to be a self-motivator, and have the ability to operate impact wrenches and troubleshoot and repair any type of torch maintenance that is needed.
