Job Overview
City National Bank is seeking a skilled Compliance Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will play a critical role in assessing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement across the organization.
About the Role
- We are looking for a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in banking operations, compliance, and/or risk management activities.
- You should have a strong understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO, and risk assessment practices, as well as experience in planning and juggling multiple projects.
- This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to effectively present findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Audit and Assurance General Requirements:
- Plans, executes, and evaluates audit test plans for projects of medium to high complexity using a risk-based audit approach.
- Assesses risks and controls, designs comprehensive audit programs, and executes audit procedures.
- Analyzes results of testing performed, effectively communicates findings to senior management, and delivers well-written audit reports and other forms of communication.
- Discover patterns, insights, trends, and anomalies from data sets and visualization tools.
- Execute basic analyses and create simple visualizations using standard tools.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to test hypotheses and add insights into audit findings.
- Supports the Audit Director proactively in ongoing monitoring and discussions with business management.
- Builds trusting relationships with Internal Audit peers and business management.
- Acts as the key contact and responds to inquiries from business throughout the audit process.
- Acts as a role model/mentor to more junior auditors and provides constructive feedback.
- Enhances and maintains staff morale.
- Prepares and conducts formal/informal training for less experienced staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of audit or related experience in banking operations, compliance, and/or risk management activities.
- Minimum 3 years of experience conducting internal audits within financial institutions.
- CPA - Certified Public Accountant.
- CIA - Certified Internal Auditor.
- CAMS - Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
- CFE - Certified Fraud Examiner.
Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $101,231 - $172,355 per year. This figure may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
