Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accreditation Specialist to join our team at Hanover County, VA. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining facility accreditation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining records and files for the American Correctional Association, Department of Corrections, and Prison Rape Elimination Act
  • Compile reports and manage data spreadsheets for end of month reports and requests from ACA, DOC, PREA, and other organizations
  • Organize and manage both physical and digital files, scanning files daily for digital storage
  • Assist with the maintenance of the facility Policy and Procedures manual and Inmate Handbook as required
  • Review documents and logs for accuracy and completeness, collecting documentation from various departments
  • Communicate information to staff, including notification of approaching deadlines
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Experience working with confidential files preferred
  • Ability to multitask, work well independently, and establish effective working relationships with County officials, employees, and the general public
