About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager to join our team at Playworks Utah. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading our fundraising and marketing efforts to support the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute 2-3 annual special events to raise funds and awareness for Playworks Utah.
  • Individual Donor Cultivation: Manage and coordinate individual donor solicitations, including spring and end-of-year appeals, major donor campaigns, and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
  • Corporate Partner Volunteer Engagement: Develop and implement a corporate volunteer program to engage local businesses and their employees in Playworks Utah's mission.
  • Presentation Materials and Funding Proposals: Create pitch decks, grant proposals, and reports to secure funding and support from foundations, corporations, and individuals.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and manage a pipeline of foundation, corporate, and individual donors to achieve fundraising goals.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of development and account management experience with a proven track record of successful fundraising.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising strategies, including grant seeking, individual donor cultivation, and corporate employee volunteer programs.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Superb relationship management skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
