Billing Operations Specialist

At GeorgiaGov, we are seeking a skilled Billing Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of billing functions, including the preparation and distribution of invoices, processing payments and payment approval. They will also analyze billing data and prepare reports for revenue and expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute invoices, process payments and payment approval.
  • Analyze billing data and prepare reports for revenue and expenditures.
  • Develop reports as needed.
  • Plan, develop, track and document patient/client billing and collection activities.
  • Research and resolve problematic transactions.
  • Review documents, such as purchase orders, sales tickets, charge slips or hospital records to compute fees and charges due.
  • Verify and process vendor invoices and payment information.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Two years of job-related billing/bookkeeping experience.
  • Or one year of experience at the lower level Billing Clerk 1 or equivalent position.
