Job Description

At Tropic Supply, we're seeking a dedicated Warehouse Forklift Operator/Non-CDL Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse operations and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle shipping, packaging, and receiving of products with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support counter sales by accurately fulfilling customer orders and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain and manage inventory in line with company policies, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Follow all safety standards, including OSHA and Hazmat, to keep our warehouse secure and safe for employees.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift, as well as manual methods, to efficiently pick, pull, and fill orders.
  • Load and unload trucks with precision using sit-down forklifts, hand trucks, or pallet jacks.
  • Assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure data integrity.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, including helping load merchandise into customers' vehicles.
Driving Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate Tropic Supply trucks and vans (3 tons or more) to transport and deliver products to customers and specified destinations.
  • Maintain accurate truck logs and conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Physically inspect items for damage before delivery and report any issues to management.
  • Load, unload, and disperse cargo or materials safely using vehicle equipment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, building strong relationships with internal and external customers, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lift, push, and handle items up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • At least two years of experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand-truck).
  • Valid driver's license and medical certificate, with a minimum of six months of verifiable driving experience.
  • One year of general warehouse experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, even under stressful conditions.
  • Must be able to read and speak English.
