Intensivist Medicine Specialist

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Intensivist Medicine Specialist to join our team.
Job SummaryThis role involves providing medical care to patients in an intensivist and critical care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to determine patient health needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional practice guidelines.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, medication, and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- Certification from an accredited board as an APRN for the patient population of focus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire.
- A minimum of less than 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Competitive salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year.
