Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at The Medicine Shoppe.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare medications and healthcare products for patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Measure medication dosages accurately according to prescription orders.
  • Process prescriptions using computer software with precision and attention to detail.
  • Label and record medication information securely and efficiently.
  • Monitor storage and inventory levels of medications and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and interacting with customers in a professional manner.
  • Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure accurate preparation and processing of medications.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Show attention to detail in measuring medication dosages and recording patient information.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Possess strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for patients and customers.
  • Prior experience in pharmacy or related field is an asset.
