Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure all corporate financial statements are prepared in compliance with established standards, thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, and disseminated promptly.
  • Management Reporting: Generate quarterly financial reports for the management company, including detailed contract analyses and ownership reviews.
  • Distribution Management: Calculate and communicate distributions in accordance with joint venture agreements in a timely manner.
  • Investor Relations: Collaborate with Operations and Business Development to facilitate the quarterly reporting package for investors.
  • Cash Forecasting: Develop quarterly cash forecasts for all joint ventures and project financial distributions accordingly.
  • Financial Maintenance: Maintain monthly financial records for joint ventures, ensuring timely recording and payment of all invoices.
  • Investment Accounting: Work closely with the regional controller to ensure accurate accounting and timely closure of sold investments.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy, posting necessary adjustments promptly.
  • Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit of corporate financials.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and maintain proactive communication regarding the status with investors.
  • Expense Management: Process corporate invoices and expense reports efficiently.
  • Financial Controls: Manage corporate credit card transactions and ensure appropriate accounting practices are followed.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee corporate accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and addressing any potential risks.
  • Insurance Management: Provide necessary policy information for liability insurance and assist in preparing reports for audits.
  • Asset Management: Review fixed asset additions for correct coding and update depreciation schedules as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in GAAP accounting at a corporate level is essential.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, accounts payable, payroll, and back-office hospitality systems is highly preferred.
