Dentist - Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation

The Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Dentist to join our team. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, including routine and emergency dental procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity, and diagnosis of pathological and irregular conditions.
- Perform restoration of simple and compound cavities with standard dental materials.
- Administer local anesthesia.
- Perform both non-surgical and surgical extractions of teeth.
- Scale of calculus, and curettage.
- Treat dental and periodontal infections.
- Recognize symptoms of systemic diseases and refer cases for medical diagnosis.
- Perform alveolectomy in connection with fitting of dentures or other appliances, or other dental procedures.
- Responsible for scheduling and completing specialty prosthodontic procedures.
- Must be willing and able to perform public health dentistry.
- Must be willing to treat patients of all ages, medically compromised patients, and physically and mentally challenged patients.
- Must have basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks.
- May be required to participate in committee involvement or be assigned administrative duties.
- Will work with Electronic Dental Record (EDR) and Employee Health Record (EHR) programs.
- Responsible for electronic health records data entry pertinent to patient service role.
- Ensure proper PPE is always worn while on duty.
- Complete all donning and doffing tasks in a safe acceptable method and discard of used PPE accordingly.
- Complete task training for all routine cleaning and decontamination processes for all surfaces contaminated by a communicable disease.
- Must possess a D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
- Must have current, full, and unrestricted dental license to practice dentistry in a state, territory or commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must have and maintain a current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) throughout employment.
- Must be a credentialed member of the TCRHCC Medical Staff.
- A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.

The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of radiation. The incumbent must be able to perform prolonged periods of repetitive motion actions using both hands, grasping simple/light; fine dexterity; and, occasionally in grasping firm/heavy. They must also be able to frequently use repetitive motion actions of foot control.
The incumbent must be able to cope with problems and make judgments and evaluations of the situation and type of care needed, and refer those of a more complicated nature to a specialist.
