Business Outreach Liaison (TJ - Transitional Jobs) - BUSIN002052

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Work Program Manager to create promotional materials and a strategic outreach plan targeting businesses and employers, ensuring it includes measurable objectives and a schedule of events to enhance program visibility.
  • Execute the employer outreach strategy, monitor its effectiveness, and foster strong relationships with business partners.
  • Work closely with Employment Coaches to bridge connections between businesses and Transitional Job participants, facilitating employment opportunities that align with their skills and career development goals.
  • Partner with industry groups, trade associations, and workforce organizations to link program participants with both subsidized and unsubsidized job openings.
  • Engage with employers to identify and develop job opportunities suitable for Transitional Job workers.
  • Compile monthly reports for the TMJ/TJ Director and Work Program Manager, summarizing program metrics, showcasing success stories from job seekers and employers, and outlining initiatives and results.
  • Create and deliver presentations and marketing materials for outreach events and public speaking engagements as required.
  • Ensure compliance of all subsidized worksites with Transitional Job regulations, including adherence to collective bargaining agreements and grievance procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the terms outlined in the Transitional Job Host Worksite Agreement.
  • Develop technical assistance resources for employers and provide training as needed.
  • Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and planning sessions.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Communication, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in employer engagement and relationship building with community organizations and educational institutions.
  • Strong understanding of the local labor market and current knowledge of High Growth Job Initiatives at both national and local levels.
  • Familiarity with labor and economic research data, including community development and public policy analysis.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, including experience in making formal and informal presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance, with the ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
