Behavioral Support Technician for Children

Community Autism Services, a branch of The Stepping Stones Group, is actively seeking dedicated Behavioral Technicians. We provide both full-time and part-time roles at our centers, offering opportunities to gain valuable experience in various settings, including home and educational environments.
Our team of experienced professionals is committed to supporting your career development through extensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We encourage individuals pursuing degrees in Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Development, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Work, Counseling, and Mental Health to consider this opportunity.
Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Behavioral Technicians report directly to a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Collaborate with program supervisors to guide clients in developing communication skills, enhancing play, building friendships, and promoting independence while addressing challenging behaviors.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze behavioral data related to treatment objectives.
  • Assist with toileting needs and maintain hygiene as required.
  • Foster a professional and collaborative relationship with the caregivers of assigned clients.
  • Ensure the therapy space is organized and clean after each session.
  • Participate in Clinical Review meetings for clients on your caseload.
  • A commitment to consistent attendance and timely communication is essential.
  • Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this role include sitting, speaking, and listening to children regularly. You may frequently need to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is necessary, including pushing items such as children on bikes or moving furniture. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability for full-time schedules typically from morning to evening
  • Part-time schedules available with flexible hours
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Annual Flu vaccination required
  • Experience in childcare is essential
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous
