Mechanical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing material handling systems that meet the needs of our clients.
Your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining estimate records, determining appropriate sizing for material handling systems, and collaborating with the engineering department to generate and modify system schematics and layouts.
You will also be responsible for providing overflow support to the engineering department for flow schematics and layouts, as well as using product knowledge to accurately size and specify equipment for each customer's application.
In addition, you will develop and maintain relationships with OEMs and vendors, and provide input to the product development group for creating new products and making recommendations for modifying existing products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain estimate records for current and future use by engineering and sales personnel
- Determine appropriate sizing for material handling systems
- Collaborate with the engineering department to generate and modify system schematics and layouts
- Provide overflow support to the engineering department for flow schematics and layouts
- Use product knowledge to accurately size and specify equipment for each customer's application
- Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs and vendors
- Provide input to the product development group for creating new products and making recommendations for modifying existing products
Requirements:
- Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Expertise in 2D and 3D drafting software, with a preference for SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with experience in the plastics industry or technical system/machine proposal experience
