Electro-Mechanical Assembler Job Description

Metals USA is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Torrington, CT. As a key member of our Gregor Technologies Division, you will be responsible for assembling complex electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble products accurately.
  • Utilize handheld tools, such as screwdrivers and drill guns, to assemble parts.
  • Assemble motors, pumps, and compressors using press fixtures, pneumatic guns, or hand tools.
  • Perform end-of-line tests using computer-based equipment.
  • Conduct spot checks to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Two-year technical degree or apprenticeship.
  • 3-5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, with prior wire installation experience.
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, documents, and blueprints.
  • Computer literacy with understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
