Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at US Engine Valve. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and specifying advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems. Your expertise will be crucial in improving manufacturing support and maintenance programs, developing process specifications, and driving capital projects from strategic planning to implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems for machine tools.
  • Select and justify capital equipment for manufacturing processes.
  • Improve current machine tools to increase uptime, quality, and productivity.
  • Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance teams.
  • Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements.
  • Advise on improving preventative maintenance programs and consult with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement.
  • Authorize and approve changes to machine tool programs.
  • Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.
  • Participate in teams and champion team activities.
  • Track and accumulate cost savings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Technical knowledge in mechanical design.
  • Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning.
  • Human relations and mentorship skills.
  • Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving methods.
