The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a dedicated and board-certified Hospitalist to join our esteemed medical team. This position is essential in delivering exceptional healthcare services to our veterans, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

As a Hospitalist, you will be part of a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient-centered care. Our facility is equipped with modern medical technology and provides a supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work full-time with a schedule of 12-hour shifts, covering both day and night rotations, including weekends and holidays.
  • No on-call duties required.
  • Enjoy a flexible work schedule tailored to your needs.
  • Manage a total of 18 beds, including 13 medical/surgical beds and 5 ICU beds.
  • Access to 24/7 tele-critical care support for enhanced patient management.
  • Average daily patient load of 6 to 8 patients.
  • Engage in the academic training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Oversee inpatient care and follow-up for patients admitted to the facility.
  • Provide medical consultations for inpatients under other services.
  • Participate in administrative and committee work aimed at improving patient care and outcomes.
  • Ensure comprehensive care, health promotion, and risk factor management for patients and their families.
  • Conduct medical evaluations and manage the treatment of acutely ill hospitalized patients.
