About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Risk Specialist to join our team at Wells Fargo. As a key member of our operational risk management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our business operations.

As a Lead Business Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading complex risk initiatives and projects to mitigate current and emerging business risk issues and concerns
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Providing risk management consulting and guidance to business leaders and teams
  • Developing and maintaining effective risk oversight routines, including status reporting and storytelling for operational risk
  • Assessing, analyzing, and designing complex controls, protocols, and approaches to mitigate risks
  • Supporting the coordination of audits, compliance reviews, and testing and validation operations activities

This is a highly visible and critical role that requires strong risk management skills, business acumen, and effective communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and frameworks
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
