The Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee daily functions to guarantee that all payments are accurately recorded in the Accounts Receivable ledger, adhering to the policies and procedures of Kuresmart.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and distributes corporate mail efficiently on a daily basis.
  • Reconciles payment batches to ensure timely posting to patient accounts.
  • Confirms that all deposits are processed promptly by Operations.
  • Conducts reconciliation of all deposits with the bank.
  • Handles relevant task buckets promptly and efficiently.
  • Implements the third-party collections process for medical groups monthly, ensuring compliance with corporate policies prior to engaging collection agencies.
  • Ensures accurate posting of all funds collected by collection agencies in patient accounts, updating patient notes and statuses accordingly.
  • Reviews all unapplied patient credits to guarantee correct application and reflection in patient accounts.
  • Monitors the Unpostables Dashboard daily, ensuring timely completion of all applicable work categories.
  • Assesses patient unapplied balances weekly.
  • Adheres to all internal controls to safeguard company assets against theft or fraud.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates reports as directed.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participates in and completes all mandatory training and in-service sessions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Internet and Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare professionals and the public.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
  • Demonstrates patience and understanding in stressful situations related to patient health.
  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail.
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills.
  • Adept at problem-solving and logical reasoning.
  • Meets established quality standards consistently.
  • Projects a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Knowledgeable about the healthcare sector and medical specialties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Driving/Travel Requirements:

Reliable transportation is necessary. While the primary workplace may be closest to the employee's residence, assignments could occur at any of Kuresmart's locations.
