Lead Systems Engineer for Technical Standards and Variances

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the Lunar Permanence initiative. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation of design and construction protocols for our lunar transport systems. Collaboration with Blue Origin, our National Team Partners, and NASA will be essential in the development of the Human Landing System crew lander and the Human-class Delivery Lander cargo lander.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Establishing and enforcing technical standards in partnership with Blue Origin and NASA
  • Overseeing requirement variances
  • Monitoring advancements in technical standards
  • Providing expert technical guidance
  • Working autonomously to meet project goals
  • Upholding Blue Origin's core leadership principles
  • Advising element teams

Minimum qualifications include: a background in design and construction standards, strong interpersonal skills, and a degree in engineering or a related discipline. Preferred qualifications: experience with spaceflight systems, involvement in NASA programs, and familiarity with large-scale complex projects.
