The School of Business and Technology at Holy Family University is seeking to establish a pool of qualified candidates for potential part-time teaching roles in the Master's in Accounting programs. These roles will be filled as opportunities arise. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering courses on a part-time, contractual basis, utilizing both online and hybrid evening formats.

The ideal applicant should possess a graduate degree, have prior teaching experience at the collegiate level, and demonstrate relevant industry experience. Preference will be given to candidates holding a doctoral or terminal degree in a related discipline.

All candidates must align with the mission of Catholic higher education and uphold the core values, mission, goals, and objectives of Holy Family University.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering instruction in the Master's in Accounting program
  • Conducting both online and in-person classes in accordance with the University's academic standards
  • Encouraging active learning and practical exercises to enhance student understanding
  • Providing timely assessments and constructive feedback to students
  • Effectively utilizing the Learning Management System (CANVAS)
  • Employing advising software (CRM Advise) to address student concerns

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctoral degree
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) and practical experience in the field
  • Prior teaching experience at a college or university level is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and online learning platforms, particularly Canvas

Applicants are required to complete three different clearances for Child Protection as part of the application process:

  • Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History (PATCH) through the Pennsylvania State Police
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History (PACA) through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services
  • FBI Criminal History Background Check
