Adjunct Professor of Philosophy

At Saint Joseph's University, we are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach various courses in Philosophy. As a member of our academic community, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for Philosophy with our students.
Responsibilities:- Teach select courses on an as-needed basis, utilizing your expertise in Philosophy to engage and educate students.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality course materials, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive learning experience.
- Provide support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Offer prompt and regular feedback to students on their academic performance, helping them to grow and improve.
- Utilize electronic and digital systems to provide grades and facilitate communication with students.
- M.A. or Ph.D. in Philosophy (or closely related fields) is required.
- Comfortable teaching informal logic and critical thinking, as well as some combination of ethics, philosophical issues about human nature (including social/political philosophy), and philosophy of religion.
- Open to teaching in-person, with flexibility to adapt to changing course needs.
