The Contract Lifecycle Coordinator will support the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) by owning the contract management lifecycle. This role involves reviewing, drafting, revising, and negotiating contracts, monitoring contract performance and compliance, recommending improvements and innovations to the contract process, and ensuring contract accuracy.

Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with complex needs achieve their highest potential for health and well-being through comprehensive services, treatment, and housing. Our vision is a community where no person is abandoned, ignored, or experiencing homelessness.

We serve almost 2,000 people each day, providing integrated services to multiply disabled adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. DESC is recognized nationally and regionally as an innovator in developing solutions to homelessness.

Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Track and initiate renewal of all contracts.\
  • Coordinate collection and updating of renewal materials, including drafting, circulating, and proofreading competitive renewals and proposals.\
  • Review contract level budgets prior to submission to ensure compliance with funding partner program rules.\
  • Lead and coordinate external audits and inspections, develop monitoring plans, conduct quality audits, prepare audit reports, and report findings.\
  • Engage stakeholders, both internal and external, to resolve contract adherence deficiencies.\
  • Recommend innovations and process improvements for contract systems and procedures.\
  • Develop and integrate contract management tools, templates, methods, and processes.\
  • Serve as a point of contact for resolving and escalating complex and non-routine contract issues.\
  • Project manage new government funding applications as required.\
  • Complete and/or approve reports to funders as required.\

Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Master's degree in public administration, business, management, or a related field. Relevant Bachelor's degree required.

\

You must have experience in grants or contract management, budget development, multitasking, prioritizing your work, meeting strict deadlines, managing or working with public funds, and knowledge of homeless, low-income housing, and behavioral health funding programs.

\

We require strong computer skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills. You must be able to work effectively with staff and the public from various backgrounds, handle confidential and proprietary information, and subscribe to our philosophy of cooperation and continuity across programs and consideration and respect for clients.

\

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
