About the Role:
As a vital member of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription processing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately interpreting and entering prescriptions into our computer system.
- Calculating dosages and providing clear directions for medication use.
- Processing insurance payments promptly and correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will also:
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to verify medication orders.
- Assist patients by coordinating new medication orders and reorders, ensuring benefits are verified.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a pharmacy setting.
- An active and valid Pharmacy Technician License as required by state regulations.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications and strong data entry skills.
Preferred Skills:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- Experience in customer service, particularly in healthcare.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
