Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wound Specialist to join our team. As a Wound Specialist, you will visit patients at nursing facilities, develop comprehensive plans of care with nursing staff, and provide wound treatment services.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to assigned nursing facilities weekly to assess patients and make recommendations on plan of care
  • Work closely with nursing staff and facility administration to ensure effective patient care
  • Utilize facility formulary and follow facility protocols for wound treatment
  • Document patient encounters in our EHR to ensure timely reporting
  • Discuss treatments and goals with PCP and family members
  • Perform procedures such as debridements, I&Ds, cellular tissue application, cauterization, NPWT, etc.
Requirements
  • Unrestricted Medical License in state of practice
  • DEA
  • Must pass state and federal background checks
  • Basic EHR knowledge
  • Team Player
  • Strong Communication skills
  • 1 year wound care experience
  • Wound Care Certification (preferred)
