Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Training Specialist to join our team at Carle Health. As a Medical Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping children and their families better understand illness, hospitalization, and outpatient procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care using a collaborative approach with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions to achieve expected patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate and document patient progress toward expected outcomes and goals.
  • Modify plans of care based on evaluation and patient needs.
  • Complete required documentation as appropriate, including patient charts and event reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life or Child Development or related field.
  • Child Life internship completed in accordance with standards set forth by the Association of Child Life Professionals.
  • Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) within 1 year.
  • Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
