Job Title: Benefit Verification Specialist

CornerStone Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Benefit Verification Specialist to join our team in Cary, North Carolina. As a Benefit Verification Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the medical benefits they need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter all communication and documentation into the client platform
  • Secure copay assistance funding for patients in need and communicate resources to providers and patients
  • Communicate patient updates to providers and document in the client platform
  • Use clinical notes from providers to initiate prior authorizations via online portals, phone, or fax
  • Assist patients in completing assistance applications and follow up as necessary with all parties involved
  • Manage inbound calls on the manufacturer customer service lines, handling inquiries about services, financial support programs, and applications
  • Coordinate with the Patient Benefit team to initiate pharmacy dispensing workflows once assistance outcomes are determined
  • Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or hub providers when necessary and ensure receipt
  • Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to clinicians
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required
  • 1+ year of experience in Benefits Verification, Benefits Investigation, Claims, Copay, or Pharmacy experience
  • 1+ year of data entry experience, including creating profiles and knowledge of medications
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Must be willing to undergo a typing test

CornerStone Staffing offers a competitive hourly rate of $21.35 and a flexible schedule with shifts between 8 AM - 8 PM EST. The training schedule is 8 AM - 5 PM for the first 4 weeks, and after training, your work schedule will be assigned.
