About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Production Operator III to join our team at CoorsTek. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing multiple processes related to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate complex production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions, making adjustments as needed.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and customer specifications are met, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Transfer parts to the next process via computer software.
- Load, unload, and stack product, transporting it via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
- Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in designated areas.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience.
Desirable Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, and drop gauges.
- Experience with advanced measuring equipment, such as SmartScope or CMM.
- Ability to use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand complex blueprints and parts.
- Excellent attention to detail and listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals.
