Job Summary

The South Carolina Coastal Conservation League is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our development efforts and managing our member database. This role involves managing and analyzing data, preparing reports, audience list management, and implementing stewardship strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process all types of gifts, including direct mail, credit card, online, matching gifts, and in-kind donations.
  • Handle monthly bank EFT gifts and paycheck deduction gifts.
  • Export and process acknowledgment letters and ensure timely mailing.
  • Record and process grant funding, ensuring up-to-date information and payment schedules are included.
  • Maintain a data organization system for meaningful reporting.
  • Provide regular statistical reports on fundraising, communications, and advocacy efforts.
  • Establish and adapt reports to track giving levels, renewal rates, and other key metrics.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation with the Finance Team.
  • Prepare reports for executive staff and donor recognition for Board meetings.
  • Enter and update constituent information in the database.
  • Maintain data integrity and audit data entry as needed.
  • Segment lists for fundraising, marketing, and advocacy purposes.
  • Compose and mail consolidated donor receipt letters annually.
  • Organize and maintain membership data.
  • Track and analyze donor data across all fundraising efforts.
  • Manage confidential donor records and create online donation forms.
  • Perform regular data audits and provide constituent data management support to the Programs and Communications teams.
  • Make recommendations to optimize database operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, communications, marketing, business, or a related field with 1-2 years of experience in a development or fundraising role, preferably in non-profit environments or an Associates Degree in a related field with 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Experience using EveryAction donor database management platform.
  • Experience in fundraising, including knowledge of fundraising information sources, familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, strategies, procedures.

The position operates in a professional office environment located in Charleston, SC.
