Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team in a residential therapeutic setting. As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with individuals in need of behavior stabilization, providing constant engagement and supervision. You will implement programs specific to each individual's needs, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and other approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain physical exertion, kneel, and crouch for 45 minutes at a time, several times throughout a shift
  • Stand and/or sit on the floor for extended periods, possibly for the majority of a shift
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Restrain/hold/transport individuals as needed
  • Perform first aid procedures
  • Accurately document required data
  • Accept and implement feedback and constructive criticism related to job duties and/or performance
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and in writing
  • Preferred: Three years of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral health conditions; experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA); college degree in a related field
