Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist with Highmark Health, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.

• Complete documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness, including charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education.

• Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.

• Provide instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.

• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or TPP.

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).

• CPR – American Heart Association.

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.

• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT).

• 1 year experience in a hospital setting.
