Mechanic - Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mezzetta, a leading manufacturer of specialty olives, peppers, and sauces. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including Line 1 and Line 2.
- Conduct basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Train new maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE, GMP, FPQ, and HACCP requirements.
- Record and document maintenance activities, including PMs, WOs, and parts usage.
- Complete required training programs, including Personal Safety and Food Safety Training.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable mechanical/electrical experience or coursework.
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tool usage.
- Understanding of safety rules, including LO/TO procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team and follow direction from department leads.
- Initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes.
The work environment is a food manufacturing facility, with a wide range of ambient temperatures and humidity. You may be exposed to strong odors and fumes from hot peppers and other flavorful products processed within the facility. The position requires lengthy periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs. You may also be required to use a workman cage to reach high elevated areas.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $30-$34 USD per hour.
