Diesel Technician/Mechanic Job Summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers who require roadside assistance. You will diagnose and repair maintenance issues on trucks in all weather conditions, ensuring the safety of our customers and their vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to road assist calls and repair units by identifying and determining parts requiring replacement and warrantable repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs as needed.
  • Restock rapid assist vehicles with tools, parts, tires, and other necessary supplies.
  • Perform maintenance or repairs to road assist vehicles as required.
  • Assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required.
