Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Centennial Mental Health Center. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency and crisis calls from clients, families, law enforcement, schools, and other referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and crisis calls, providing assessment and intervention services to individuals experiencing behavioral health or substance use emergencies/crises.
  • Follow agency standards of practice, policies, and procedures regarding behavioral health crisis responses.
  • Work with individuals, families, law enforcement, and other agencies to coordinate appropriate levels of care in crisis and emergency situations.
  • Coordinate with other specified authorizing agencies to determine the necessity of inpatient treatment.
  • Obtain required authorizations prior to arranging inpatient treatment.
  • Provide coverage of fifteen hour shifts per month.
  • Document all emergency calls in the center's electronic health record and communicate with team members as required for Continuity of Care.
  • Complete paperwork for involuntary hospitalizations as applicable, including required 27-65 CRS documentation, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Arrange transportation to in-patient settings when needed and obtain authorizations when needed from specified agencies.
  • Provide emergency support and evaluations for CMHC clinical staff as needed.
  • Perform outreach calls in conjunction with other providers, case managers, and law enforcement.
  • Assist with Continuity of Care duties as needed.
  • Attend all agency and professional trainings as assigned.
  • Attend supervision and team meetings as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related clinical discipline.
  • License in the State of Colorado as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW (if applicable for licensed position).
  • Documented experience in crisis intervention, assessment, and management in either outpatient, residential, or inpatient settings.
Salary Range

$61,000-$76,225/yr (MS) or $68,612.50-$76,225/yr (Lic)
