Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Physician Billing Process Specialist to join our team at Saint Francis Health System. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of medical claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train and assist front and back-end professional billing revenue cycle staff members in daily operations.
• Monitor performance and communicate issues to management staff.
• Recommend improvements for the front/back-end interface.
• Utilize IDX functionality effectively and efficiently and be proactive in resolving problems and suggesting new procedures and processes.
• Provide accounts receivable management, including patient registration and scheduling, posting, fee schedules, reimbursement, claims filing, remittance, and rejection processes.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3-4 years related experience.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 coding.

Working Relationships:

• Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise).
• Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise).
• Works with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
• Works with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
• Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
• Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
