Position Overview
The Intelligence and Defense Solutions division at Riverside Research is looking for a GEOINT Data Scientist to support critical operations. This role involves the analysis and reverse engineering of GEOINT data collections, as well as sensor processing applications and their resulting products. The successful candidate will also evaluate new analytical tools to ensure compatibility and enhance efficiency across the various tools used by imagery and geospatial analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating the ability to meet most analytic methodology services independently.
- Utilize GEOINT remote sensing data analytical techniques and evaluate the integration of new methodologies into existing workflows.
- Conduct data collection, performance analysis, and technical evaluations of GEOINT data and experimental processing algorithms.
- Identify processing challenges and contribute to the design of enhanced processing solutions for GEOINT analysts.
- Document and present refined GEOINT tradecraft in the analysis of unique datasets.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to project team members and the analytical cadre.
- Collaborate with analysts, mission partners, and others on analytical functionality and exploitation support tools.
- Provide database consultation, create graphical data visualizations, and offer recommendations for quantitative data selection, intelligence collection, and integration.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication.
- Master's degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, physical science, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in technical GEOINT processing and analysis.
- Experience with experimental frameworks for data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in creating reports, data visual aids, and project presentations.
- Experience working in a high operational tempo environment.
- A strong inclination to investigate problems to determine root causes.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a responsible team player capable of working independently with minimal daily guidance; effective written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience coordinating with the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
- Familiarity with the development of automation strategies for data collection.
- Experience in Full Motion Video analysis.
- Knowledge of Systems Tool Kit (STK).
- Experience in data engineering and curation.
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Background in intelligence production.
Compensation
The typical compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $140,000, depending on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
