Job Summary

As a Dietary Worker at Randolph County Nursing Home, you will play a vital role in providing meals for our residents in a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the facility's dietician to implement recommended changes and ensure adherence to established dietary procedures.
  2. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel to ensure smooth food service operations.
  3. Prepare and deliver meals that meet the needs of our residents.
  4. Serve meals in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and facilities.
  6. Assist in food preparation and serving as needed.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to stand and walk during shifts.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Work Environment:

As a Dietary Worker, you will be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and body fluids, which can contain AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. You will also be exposed to chemicals used in cleaning and disinfecting.
