Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Randolph County Nursing Home. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing meals for our residents according to established dietary procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the facility's dietician to implement recommended changes and ensure that all dietary procedures are followed.
  2. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and other departments within the facility.
  3. Prepare and deliver meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  4. Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
  5. Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and other equipment.
  6. Sweep and mop floors as directed.
  7. Carry soiled utensils and other items to the wash area.
  8. Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining rooms as instructed.
  9. Assist in preparing meals and obtaining food supplies for the next meal.
  10. Deliver food carts, trays, and other items to designated areas.
  11. Serve food in the dining room as instructed.
  12. Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures to ensure that utensils and equipment are readily available for the next meal.
  13. Prepare and deliver snacks as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must be able to stand and walk during your shift. You will also need to be able to lift and move 75 pounds or more, and carry 30 pounds. Additionally, you must be able to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and holidays as needed.
