Medical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Total Respiratory & Rehab. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and instructing patients on the use of medical equipment and supplies in their homes.
About UsTotal Respiratory & Rehab is a fast-growing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company providing a wide range of respiratory equipment, including CPAPs/BiPAPs, oxygen concentrators, and more. Our mission is to meet the respiratory needs of our patients by offering high-quality equipment, supplies, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Safely operate company vehicles
- Select and stage delivery vehicles securely
- Functionally check and select ordered medical equipment and supplies
- Prioritize and coordinate deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls efficiently
- Educate patients on medical equipment and supply use through demonstrations and key operating features
- Interact with patients of various ages
- Perform assessments and reassessments of patient care or service needs
- Document patient responses to care or services provided, actions taken, and outcomes
- Complete plans of care as needed for patient care level
- Collect accurate patient information for care, service, and treatment operations
- Refer service complaints and compliments to relevant personnel
- Participate in Improvement of Operational Performance activities
- Participate in traditional and e-learning programs
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Promote teamwork and collaboration with other employees, managers, and departments
- High degree of integrity
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 months industry-related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional certificate or licensure preferred but not required
- Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of cleaning techniques and processes applicable to the industry
- Must demonstrate proficient ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
- Physical requirements: safely operate company vehicles, maintain attention to detail, lift and carry machinery/equipment up to 100 pounds, read printed materials/computer screens/road signs, communicate effectively
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass driving skills test required
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to cater to diverse customer base
- Knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
