Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver financial reports for a diverse portfolio of properties.
- Assist in the financial reporting for OneCanopy, our environmentally-focused social initiative.
- Review and reconcile subsidiary ledgers with financial statements.
- Record recurring transactions and management fees.
- Develop supporting schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet items.
- Analyze income statements for budget discrepancies, investigate variances, and provide insightful analyses.
- Support the Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager in processing accounts payable.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable accounts.
- Aid in the preparation of tax returns and collaborate with external CPA tax professionals.
- Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes for properties and operational entities.
- Assist in cash flow projections for properties and operational entities, including forecasting future cash requirements.
- Help in the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for investors.
- Manage financial forecasting models for operational entities.

Responsible for delivering precise and timely financial reporting to stakeholders, including monthly financial statements and quarterly updates.

- Participate in the creation, documentation, and communication of systematic processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

- Engage in strategic initiatives aimed at refining operational processes and fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
- An MBA or CPA designation is advantageous.
- 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with a focus on leveraging technology to enhance processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

- Must be detail-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and effectively communicating financial and operational insights to key stakeholders.

- Ability to excel in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment that embraces change.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building abilities and a commitment to providing exceptional internal customer service.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities and special projects.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience with Yardi and QuickBooks software is preferred but not mandatory.
