Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, the Academic Coordinator will oversee the coordination of assessments, compliance, and academic support across the K-12 learning environment. This role will involve close collaboration with the teaching and learning team, focusing on five key areas:

  • Assessment Support: Facilitate K-12 assessments.
  • Material Management: Oversee the management and distribution of assessment materials.
  • Data Collection: Manage academic data collection systems.
  • Compliance Coordination: Ensure adherence to state and national testing requirements.
  • Team Support: Assist the overall teaching and learning team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment:

  • Accountability for testing materials, including receiving, inventorying, securing, and distributing all paper assessments.
  • Assign legal accommodations for students during assessments, ensuring proper grouping and teacher training.
  • Conduct staff training, including legal state training.
  • Administer tests and monitor the testing environment, ensuring compliance with testing procedures.
  • Account for all testing materials post-assessment, including scoring and data compilation for the academic team.

Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit high-quality reports punctually and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with testing guidelines and legal requirements for district testing programs.
  • Verify compliance with Special Education documentation submitted by staff.

Filing:

  • Maintain accurate hard copy and digital records for academic and Special Education documentation.

Licensing and Contracting:

  • Coordinate orders with school and regional staff.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to procure curricular materials, including textbooks and digital licenses.
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage digital access for licenses not handled through our Clever portal.

Scheduling:

  • Organize meetings and facilitate communication among various stakeholders, including teachers, staff, families, and external partners.

Additional Duties:

  • Develop and manage project plans related to academic programming.
  • Perform other related duties and training as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a K-12 educational setting as a teacher, instructional leader, or operations leader, or at the regional/district level as an instructional leader or assessment coordinator.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in K-12 education.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proven ability to meet ambitious deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
