JOB OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of the Equipment Maintenance Specialist is to oversee all repair and preventive maintenance operations related to the injection-molding and CNC machining sectors.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot and rectify electrical malfunctions in Injection Molding machinery
  • Identify and resolve mechanical problems in Injection Molding machinery
  • Proficiently utilize electrical diagrams and manuals for equipment diagnostics
  • Ensure the repair, installation, and maintenance of all machinery in the Molding and Machining sectors
  • Supervise daily maintenance tasks for the Molding and Machining sectors
  • Formulate and execute preventive maintenance protocols for all Molding and CNC machinery
  • Create processes and systems to optimize machine and material usage
  • Coordinate planning and scheduling for all maintenance activities in the Molding and Machining sectors
  • Manage spare parts inventory for all injection-molding machines and auxiliary equipment in the Molding sector
  • Oversee spare parts inventory for CNC machines and auxiliary equipment in the Machining sector
  • Capable of diagnosing mechanical issues with robotic systems
  • Comply with all organizational policies
  • Possess a foundational understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 13485
  • Have a basic understanding of Work Instructions and associated data collection documents (e.g., run sheets)
  • Provide technical support to the Molding sector and tool room
  • Aim for efficient utilization of materials and workforce
  • Schedule and coordinate external service providers for necessary calibrations and services to minimize production interruptions
  • Maintain precise maintenance records for all Molding and CNC machinery
  • Mentor and develop Maintenance Technicians I, II, and III, fostering employee awareness and compliance with safety regulations
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of Maintenance Technicians I, II, and III

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

· High School diploma or GED preferred

· 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance

· Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics.

· Ability to read and understand written work instructions

· Capable of following verbal instructions

· Basic computer skills for daily information entry

· Physically able to lift 50 pounds safely and without injury.

· Competent in mathematical concepts related to part geometry, statistics, and technical documentation.

· Skilled in programming molding machine robots.
