We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Project Manager III to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely and reliable communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide professional direction to project teams, guiding them to achieve common goals and successful projects.
- Mentor and guide PM staff with less experience, supporting successful project delivery at all levels.
- Assist with development of project scope, budget, and schedule for multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Track project budgets and schedules, developing reports as directed.
- Keep facilities database software up to date, reflecting current project services and agreements.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with legislation, building codes, building materials, and methods, as well as university design and construction standards.
- Learn and maintain awareness of project safety requirements, following OSHA standards.
- Participate on committees and task forces to improve departmental mission and customer service.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of electrical construction and renovation projects, including building codes and standards.
