Job Summary:
Northern Light Health is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant I to join our team. This role will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff, performing duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, or changing linens. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
This position offers a competitive salary of $50000 - $60000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
* Communicate and interact with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members to maximize successful customer outcomes and unit function
* Precept team members to job function
* Orient patient to hospital environment and routine
* Attend and serve on one unit committee or educational peer opportunity to improve quality and engagement
* Document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner
* Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
* Communicate appropriate information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN in a timely manner for follow-up
* Provide care in accordance with the patient's plan of care
* Label and deliver specimens per policy
* Maintain a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; report and directly address environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed

Requirements:
* High school diploma or general educational development (GED)
* Certified Nursing Assistant education
* Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds
* Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends)
