Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant I to join our team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week. The successful candidate will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Responsibilities include feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients, as well as changing linens. May also transfer or transport patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and interact with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members to maximize successful customer outcomes and unit function.
  • Precept team members on job function and orient patients to hospital environment and routine.
  • Document all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate appropriate information and patient needs to oncoming staff at change of shift and to RN for follow-up.
  • Provide care in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Label and deliver specimens per policy.
  • Maintain a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
