POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Trainee will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to support all promotional and communication efforts for UPSWING Foundation and its associated programs. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual eager to gain practical experience in diverse marketing areas, including digital outreach, content development, social media engagement, market analysis, event coordination, and campaign implementation. The successful candidate will possess creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for youth sports and nonprofit work.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles.
- Creative thinker with strong organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong time management skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move 25 lbs.
- Background check required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in video production and editing.
- Familiarity with graphic design software.
- Knowledge of SEO and web analytics.
- Experience with project management tools.
- Event planning experience.
- Prior internship or relevant work experience in marketing.
- Experience working with youth athletes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Development: Assist in crafting engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Social Media Engagement: Support the management and growth of the organization's social media presence through scheduling and performance analysis.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends and target demographics to inform marketing strategies.
- Campaign Assistance: Aid in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events.
- Data Evaluation: Collect and analyze data from marketing initiatives to provide actionable insights.
- Project Coordination: Utilize project management software to track tasks and projects.
- Administrative Support: Assist the Marketing Manager with various administrative duties.
- Foundation Representation: Uphold the mission and values of UPSWING Foundation in all interactions.
