Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with customers on parts status, providing timely and effective updates.
  • Collaborate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, building strong relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Utilize the parts catalog to locate and retrieve parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information to customers.
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure the correct parts are ordered and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Provide high-level service to internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that require immediate attention.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as necessary.
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in auto parts sales, with a strong understanding of the industry and its processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
